Bellator 288 takes place on Friday night in Chicago and there are two big fights which headline the event. In addition, there are several other good fights on the card including a couple rising stars which I had a chance to speak with prior to the fights.
First, Roman Faraldo looks to take a step up in competition. Coming off a rather easy win in July, Faraldo now faces Levan Chokheli on Friday. I was able to talk to him earlier this month.
Also on the undercard is former ASU collegiate wrestler Sullivan Cauley as he continues his foray into pro MMA. Training with Ryan Bader has helped him and he talks about his upcoming fight against Jay Radick.
Skywalker Lucas Brennan was to have fought at Bellator 288 but on Wednesday he posted that his opponent pulled out. Still, here is his interview.
The feature fights will see Corey Anderson take on Vadim Nemkov as part of the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix Final which is also for the Light Heavyweight Championship.
Also, the Bellator Lightweight World Championship will be on the line with Patricky Pitbull taking on Usman Nurmogomedov. It will be the first fight for Pitbull in over a year after his July fight against Sidney Outlaw was scrapped. He faces the cousin of Khabib and a man that is on a roll after 4 straight wins for the promotion.
Bellator 288 takes place Friday, November 17th on Showtime with the prelims on Bellator’s YouTube Channel.
