UFC 264 will be one of the biggest events in recent memory as the trilogy between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier headlines the summer event. It is predicted that the event will come near beating the gate records in Nevada for MMA as well as PPV buys.
Sponsorship activation has come with the big event coming to Vegas. Notably, Jose Cuervo announced a sponsorship deal with the UFC making it the ‘Official Tequila’ of the company. In boxing news, the much-anticipated Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder fight will be put on hold until this fall as news surfaced that Fury as well as others in his camp have contracted COVID-19. Fury has symptoms which is not good. The fight delay will be a loss of millions to businesses and fans that planned on the big event in Vegas. This is the second such postponement of a fight as Teofimo Lopez had to call off his first title defense as he came down with COVID-19 this past June.

A training partner of Dustin Poirier, Faraldo predicts a finish for his training partner. Also, I interviewed women’s flyweight champion Juliana Velasquez as she prepares for her first title defense in Uncasville, Connecticut.
