Bellator takes place tonight with several key fights. I had the opportunity to speak with Kana Watanabe and Liz Carmouche.
I also had the opportunity to speak with Myles Jury ahead of his fight with Sydney Outlaw.
In other Bellator news, Fedor is returning. The company announced a trip to Russia on October 21st where Fedor will be fighting an unnamed opponent. It will be the company’s debut in the country and its likely we will see a heavy amount of Russian talent on this card.
In legal news, earlier this week, Kajan Johnson and C.B. Dolloway filed a lawsuit against the UFC citing similar antitrust violations filed the plaintiffs in the Cung Le lawsuit. The lawsuit seemingly extends the time period for which UFC fighters claim damages by the organization. While most of the 48 or so pages of the Complaint are similar to the December 2014 filing, one note stood out regarding how much revenue Zuffa retains.
Finally, Booker Huffman, some may know as Booker T from pro wrestling fame lost his lawsuit against Activision for copyright infringement. Huffman copyrighted a character he portrayed in pro wrestling and at ‘Comic Con’ conventions. He claimed that the video game maker put his character in its ‘Call of Duty’ franchise.
